TATTOO FLASH DAY - 5TH OCTOBER
First of all, thank you.
Thank you to everyone who came to the flash day, the response was amazing - it was so much busier than we anticipated. We're trying to build a bit of a community at our Middlesbrough studio, and this is exactly what we wanted to achieve. With so much of our lives being online, we really wanted to focus on the face-to-face aspect of what we do. It was great to see the studio full of people having conversations, catching up, playing some of the games we put out, and even coming to just do some drawing and create whilst they were here - it was really cool to see it all. The queue outside before we even opened was pretty overwhelming, it's cool to see so many people turn up to an industrial park in Middlesbrough on a Sunday morning. It means a lot to us and we never take any form of support for granted.

Why did we do a tattoo flash day?
With myself (Adam) learning how to tattoo from July last year, it felt like a natural thing to do with the brand. I've been interested in tattooing for as long as I can remember and the culture has always been a big inspiration for what I create for Thirteen Supply Co. So it made perfect sense for us to put our take on a flash day, keeping some elements true to tradition (first come, first served tattoos) but adding some things that are a big part of Thirteen (live screen printing and new merchandise). They all linked perfectly in our space, and it was really cool to see both sides of what I do happening at the same time.

Special thanks to everyone who made the day run smoothly
A lot of work went into the day, and it couldn't have happened without Leah and Jo. With it being our first, we knew we would have a lot to learn, but as a team, we were over the moon with how it ran. With us being a small team of three there was plenty of help from friends and family; my sister helped to manage bookings and keep things running smoothly, something which was a great help on the day.
All artists and suppliers - they all did some amazing work on the day, and each of them really added to the day overall. I'll link each of them below, incase you wanted to give them a follow or book in for another tattoo with them:
TATTOO ARTISTS: Cack Handed Kid from Trapdoor tattoos in Newcastle - Dracula Tattoos - Evils - Broken Lungs Tattoo All from Sword Of Thorns in Stockton.
NAIL TECHNICIAN: Nailed It Beauty
COFFEE AND SWEET TREATS: The Shiba Bean - Butterfold Bakery
PHOTOGRAPHY: Eddy Maynard - You can see photos that he captured on our other blog here.
FREE TOTES: We were gifted 20 free totes from AS Colour. We printed them with the flash day graphics, and filled them with exclusive prints and other bits to give away to the first 20 people who got tattooed.

WILL THERE BE MORE IN THE FUTURE?
We're excited to announce the date for our next flash day: Sunday 7th December 2025. We'll be releasing tickets and all the details soon, but for now, keep the date free as we've got even more planned for this one!
