TORN APART - Giclée Art Print
I was asked to create something for a 'Nowt Special' show around the theme of horror/darkness/folklore, and I thought, what’s darker than the reality that we’re living in at the moment. The design was inspired by the current state of the world, and the phrase ‘trickle down’ economics was a key bit of inspiration. The Grim Reaper represents the super wealthy, feeding from the work of the community, whilst insisting that the benefits will eventually come to the town. But in reality, they’re hoarding for themselves, creating hate, division and anger, in turn destroying the community. The ‘trickle down’ continues to flow through the town until it is fully consumed.
Available in a large print (600mm x 200mm) and a small print (300mm x 100mm).
PLEASE NOTE: The picture of me holding it is the 600mm x 200mm.
Frames can easily be found via a Google search for those dimensions; they're made to fit a standard frame.
